The New Ballagh Centre is housed in an old Church of Ireland chapel which has been transformed into a multi- purpose community resource centre and home to Celtic Flame Candles A range of locally produced craft products are available for sale in the centre and craft classes are available for visitors. The Celtic Flames Candles range come in a variety of scents inspired by local beauty spots and themes such as Glenaniff Mist, Melvin Sunrise and Leitrim Rose. The chapel was originally opened in 1851 and its beautifully restored stain glass windows were lovingly and carefully created by Sharon and Maureen Byrne. They feature the four seasons and depict Lough Melvin native wildlife including red squirrels, pheasants, otters, herons and kingfishers.
