Patricia Cox is an Irish Knitwear Designer living in Longford, where she enjoys experimenting with texture, pattern and repetition. Aran knitting and lace work are Patricia’s passions and often she will incorporate both into a design. Patricia designs contemporary pieces with a nostalgic and feminine feel. Her work is stylish, wearable and adaptable. She uses techniques learned from her mother and grandmother who were both very talented and creative, thus Patricia’s techniques are traditional, but used in a modern way. Together with her husband Aron, Patricia owns and runs The Baldy Sheep Yarn Shop in Longford town and this provides an excellent outlet for her creativity. Patricia received the prestigious Eleanor de la Branchardière Award for excellence and innovation in a lace entry at the 2016 RDS Craft Awards.
