Eddie McGrath is a basket weaver trained in Ireland and in Somerset in the UK. He uses natural Irish willow in a variety of shades at harvest time including Harrisons, Dicky Meadows, Packing Twine, Brittany Blue. Eddie’s baskets are strong, durable and made with the highest quality traditional craftsmanship. His product range includes beautifully crafted shopping, log, and hamper baskets and a range of traditional Irish baskets such as scoibs and creels. Eddie also makes traditionally shaped willow coffins which are amongst the most environmentally friendly coffins available. Eddie provides tuition in the timeless craft of basketry through workshops designed to guide participants through each stage of the process. Each participant will take their own handcrafted basket with them at the end of the workshop.
